Sculpey / Eye putty

BJD eyes are held inside the hollow head using non-hardening eye putty (Sculpey). Unlike ordinary modelling clay, dedicated eye putty stays pliable, grips glass, urethane and resin eyes securely without damaging the head, and peels away cleanly whenever you want to adjust the gaze or swap eyes.

• DOLLSN Sculpey - Eye Putty (approx. 15g): Clean white putty that will not stain resin inside the head, supplied in a generous 15g pack that can be reused across multiple dolls.
• How to use: Pinch off a pea-sized piece, knead it between your fingers until warm and tacky, roll it into a thin rope, and press it firmly around the rim of the eye against the eye well.
• Care tip: Replace the putty once dust or wig fibres reduce its grip, and remove putty before storing a doll in its box for many months.

Elastic stringing cord & head puller

A BJD holds its poses thanks to the thick elastic cord (stringing) running through its torso and limbs. Over time the cord stretches and joints loosen; replacing or tightening the cord is called restringing.

• DOLLSN Elastic String (3mm thick / approx. 1.5m): High-recovery elastic cord ideal for 26–40cm dolls (1/6 USD to 1/4 MSD). It fits snugly through 26cm USD channels and provides balanced tension for 40–42cm MSD bodies.
• DOLLSN Head Puller (6cm): A dedicated metal hook tool that lets you pull and rotate the neck S-hook safely without hurting your fingers or chipping the neck resin.
• Helpful restringing aids: Ribbon or wire loops for feeding cord through limbs, and locking hemostat clamps to hold tension while tying knots, make solo restringing much easier.

Doll stands (waist-support & steel saddle stands)

Because resin dolls are top-heavy, a fall can chip fingers, noses or face-ups. A sturdy doll stand is essential for both shelf display and outdoor photography. DOLLSN offers two stand styles across three size scales.

• DOLLSN Standard Doll Stands (Waist-support): A wide 15cm circular base with an adjustable post that cradles the waist—available in 1/6 (26–31cm), 1/4 (42–45cm) and 1/3 (60cm) sizes.
• DOLLSN Steel Doll Stands (Saddle type): All-steel construction that supports the doll from beneath the crotch like a bicycle saddle, keeping waistbands uncreased and the stand nearly invisible in photos. Includes a mini screwdriver and comes in 1/6 (31cm), 1/4 (42–48cm) and 1/3 (60cm) sizes.
• How to choose: Pick a steel saddle stand for photography and voluminous dresses, or a waist-support stand for everyday cabinet display and dynamic posing.

Silicone wig caps (non-slip & stain protection)

Placing a wig directly onto smooth resin makes it slide off easily, and dark wig linings can leave permanent dye stains on the head. Putting on a silicone wig cap first is one of the best habits in the hobby.

• Grip & stain barrier: The soft silicone surface keeps wigs firmly in place during posing, blocks dye transfer from dark wig nets, and helps slightly loose wigs fit more snugly.
• 6–7 inch (26–31cm dolls): Fits 1/6-scale YOSD / USD dolls.
• 7–8 inch (42cm dolls): Fits 40–45cm 1/4-scale MSD dolls.
• 8–9 inch (standard 60cm) & 9–10 inch (large 60cm): Choose 8–9 inch for standard 1/3 SD, DD and Smart Doll heads, or 9–10 inch for larger-headed 60cm dolls.

Wig styling & face-up protection tools

Keep synthetic and mohair wigs neat and protect delicate hand-painted face-ups and eyelashes whenever you travel or store your doll.

• DOLLSN Mini Wig Comb (2ea): Scaled for BJD wigs; always comb gently from the tips upward to detangle without frizzing or pulling fibres.
• DOLLSN Mini Hair Rollers (2ea): Perfect for setting bangs or soft curls with a light mist of water.

Other everyday care supplies

• Melamine sponge (magic eraser): Used lightly damp on unpainted bare resin to lift scuffs and shine marks (never use on face-ups or blushed areas).
• Soft powder brush & air blower: Gently dusts eyelashes, eye wells and outfit trims without scratching sealant.
• Cotton gloves & blunt tweezers: White cotton gloves keep skin oils off resin, while blunt tweezers help fine-tune eye placement inside the head.
